When people have been hospitalised under the Mental Health Act access to legal advice is imperative. Firstly, is the reason you, a family member or a friend have been detained in hospital fair and legal? Furthermore, is the treatment prescribed correct, and who has authority to make decisions about care?
It is complicated, however we have been providing advice in relation to the Mental Health Act, and representing clients and Nearest Relatives at Tribunals since 1995.

We can provide advice and representation under Legal Aid contract, for Tribunals this is on-means tested, for some other areas such as Hospital Managers Hearings and aftercare there is a means test.
