A bit more about Catherine Pease
I gained a degree in psychology before converting to law and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005. Mental Health Law is genuinely rewarding, particularly when clients tell me that they don’t feel anyone else is listening to what they have to say and I am able to help them put their views across.
The majority of my work involves advising detained patients and providing representation at Mental Health Tribunals, plus helping with associated legal issues. I represent a range of patients detained under forensic and civil sections and with differing diagnoses, needs and abilities. I often advise older people detained in hospital or living in the community, including those with a diagnosis of dementia, many of whom wish to retain their independence for as long as possible.
Little known fact...
I work with Age UK on a voluntary basis.
Away from the office...
In my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs, cooking and travelling.Back to previous page
