A bit more about Vicky Nealey
I have worked at Peter Edwards Law for 12 years, I began as a receptionist and have gained experience and training representing those who lack capacity. I eventually became a Paralegal within the Civil Litigation Department. I work closely with Solicitor Paul Williams.
We often represent clients who are ‘Deprived of their Liberty’ and wish to challenge their detention by making an application to the Court of Protection. We also represent client’s in Court of Protection in Welfare Proceedings where the Court decides what is in a persons’ ‘best interests’. My role includes attending court hearings with barristers and clients and meeting with client’s who lack capacity to ascertain their ‘wishes and feelings’. I also prepare documentation for court. As a member of Paul’s team I liaise closely with professionals and clients on a daily basis.
Little known fact...
Whilst on a trip to Las Vegas I visited the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam by Helicopter, it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited and would love to visit again one day.
Away from the office...
I enjoy being with friends and family, I am also keen to develop my love of baking and will often take part in “bake off” days within the office in order to raise money for charity.Back to previous page
