I have had the privilege of working with Peter Edwards Law since * as their Lexcel Assessor. This is a unique role, that allows me free access across the firm and its operation, to enable me to confirm that the practice satisfies the exacting requirements of the Lexcel Standard.
During this time, I have come to understand the passion that drives the Directors and staff to deliver legal services of the highest possible quality in the field of Mental Health. A particularly challenging environment, further constrained by the requirements of the Legal Aid Agency. The Directors have always sought to develop and grow their staff, while also being alert to the potential quality of external candidates. I have seen teams grow and flourish during the course of my visits. Team members who joined in junior roles have become leaders and mentors, managing their own teams and helping to expand the range and levels of support offered by the firm.
It was also apparent following the appointment of the Practice Manager, that an effective Senior Management Team (SMT) was developing. This further assisted the Directors in achieving their goals of increased service delivery and ever more efficient internal arrangements, to facilitate that service. Succession has also featured in recent thinking and two Directors were appointed in [please insert date] to increase the breadth of skills and knowledge at Board and SMT level.
This is a firm that makes a real difference to the lives of its clients and their families.
