Peter, I am extremely grateful to you for representing my sister over the last couple of years, and for your expert advice, encouragement and support to myself throughout this time which has sustained me and meant so much. As you know, the job that yourself and colleagues do in protecting such vulnerable people is critically important; I think it no exaggeration to say that, in my sister’s case, without you personally in her corner, we would have simply been walked over and crushed by the local authority, with undoubtedly devastating results for her. Instead, she now has this proposed service spec document, based on a true picture of her needs giving her, it would appear, the best chance of a successful move and a reasonably happy future (I hope!).
