All Hail-Leigh, Apprentice of the Year!

Hayleigh John won this year’s Apprentice of the Year Award 2014 at the prestigious Liverpool Chamber event on Monday 3 March. Hayleigh is part of the team at Peter Edwards Law and the award recognises her remarkable achievements since joining the Hoylake based law practice.

Hayleigh began as a Receptionist but was quickly promoted to Administration Assistant and was recently promoted again to Mental Health Tribunal Department Coordinator. A delighted Hayleigh said after she picked up her award in the 19-23 age category, “I can’t quite believe it. I was happy enough to be nominated, but when they announced my name it came as a total shock. It’s incredible!”

Carolyn Lindsay, Practice Manager at Peter Edwards Law,  has managed Hayleigh since she joined and was keen to emphasise the benefits of the Apprenticeship program run by Liverpool Chamber, “I know how important it is to be given an opportunity because someone once believed in me. We are a proud supporter of the Apprenticeship program and it has become an important part of our recruitment strategy. The support we get from Liverpool Chamber is fantastic and nights like this are reward for Hayleigh and the hard work the whole team put in.”

Director Peter Edwards added, “From the day Hayleigh joined Peter Edwards Law she has shown outstanding dedication and willingness to learn. She deserves this recognition and I’m sure she will continue to have a successful career.”
