Mental health awareness week
Small Acts, Big Impact
At Peter Edwards Law, Mental Health Awareness Week is more than a calendar event, it’s a reminder of the importance of prioritising wellbeing, supporting one another, and creating a workplace culture grounded in empathy.
This year, we focused on the power of small acts of kindness and connection, which can have a big impact on mental health, both in and out of the workplace. Here’s how we marked the week together:
We joined the national call to ‘wear it green’ in solidarity with those affected by mental health challenges, a visible symbol of our ongoing commitment to raising awareness and breaking stigma.
Our team baked up a storm for a charity fundraiser, with proceeds supporting mental health organisations.
One lucky quiz winner also took home a wellbeing hamper filled with calming treats and self-care goodies.
We now have an office book swap, that we’ve decided to make it a permanent feature in our workspace, encouraging ongoing sharing and connection through the power of stories.
In our work advocating for people navigating the mental health system, we see every day how vital empathy, understanding, and access to support are. Mental Health Awareness Week gives us space to reflect on how we extend those same values to ourselves and each other.
We’re proud of the culture we’re building, where looking after your mental health isn’t a luxury, but a priority.
