On the 12th October, at the first National Advocacy Awards, I was really thrilled to be able to present this to a very special and inspirational young woman.
Rachel Butt is a Senior Advocate at Impetus. She is a law graduate with 5 years’ experience advocating for parents with learning difficulties. Impetus is an independent organisation delivering a range of services aimed at improving the wellbeing and quality of life of vulnerable adults across Brighton.
It is so important to focus on essential work undertaken by a variety of advocates.
This was followed by the National Advocacy Conference attended by nearly 300 people at the NEC.
